Book review of The Phoenix

The phoenix was written by Sylvia Towsend Warner in 1940,she was born in 1893 and died on 1978,The Phoenix is a fantasy story although it is a drama and action fictional story. It firstly came out during the WWI.

The Phoenix is a story about the life of a phoenix, also it's about how money goes around him.It is captured in Arabia and he is taken to an enormous aviary, then he is taken to a zoo where he spents most of his life.

In the plot the phoenix exposes his full temper and in a way you gall in love with it because he is too good to suffer in that way.Lord Strawberry is a bird lover that has an aviary so,to complete it he go to Arabia and chase it.When Lord Strawberry is going to die he sells his aviary and the phoenix. Here is where the drama and action starts because Poldero,an evil capitalist person buys it and put the phoenix i Mr Poldero's Wizard Wonderworld, people didn't think it was real or didn't pay atention to it so Poldero to win some money he starts doing anything so that people paid atention to it but nothing works.

The ending is grotesque, unexpected and sad,I recomend reading it because it is a good story "explaining" what kind of things people do to get money and how the bird suffers because Poldero, the human, wants to get money.
